Elizabeth Robertson Muir Hewitt
Penrose – Elizabeth Robertson Muir Hewitt, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late John and Robina Robertson Muir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Clyde Eaton Hewitt, a step-son; John Harley Hewitt, step-daughter; Anne Elizabeth “Betsy” Hewitt Walsh and a son-in-law, Robert Douglas “Bob” Walsh.

Elizabeth was an affiliate member of the Brevard Davidson River Presbyterian Church and a member of the Chancel Choir.

Surviving are her sister; Robina Stirk of Australia, nephews; John and Peter Stirk of Australia; great nephews, Anthony and Harry and great nieces, Rebecca and Nellie. She is lovingly remember by the remaining family; step-daughter, Melissa Hewitt and husband David Gill of Mountain Home; step-son, Bryan Hewitt and wife Florence of England; daughter-in-law, Susan Hewitt and husband John of Vero Beach, FL; daughter-in-law; Meryleen Walsh of Spencer, WV; granddaughter, Kim Hewitt Preston and husband Mike, Rebekah Walsh Cummings and husband Wil of Boone, NC, Lindsay Robertson Metzger and husband Jason of Pisgah Forest; grandsons, Kent Hewitt of California, Kris Hewitt and wife Linda of Tennessee, Gabe Walsh and wife Misty of Charleston, WV, Josh Walsh and wife Julie of Martinsburg, WV, Ben Walsh and wife Callee of Terra Alta, WV and Phillip Robertson of Brevard; great grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Patterson, John Hewitt, Jewel and Hailey Hewitt, Megan and Caleb Stirks, Caleb Walsh, Nate Cummings, Maddie and Bella Walsh and Vada and Grady Walsh .

A memorial service will be held 2pm, Friday, August 22, 2014 at Brevard Davidson River Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Keith Thompson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brevard Davidson River Music Fund, 249 E. Main Street, Brevard, NC 28712.
