Russell Owen  Cutchins
Rev. Russell Owen Cutchins age 84, of Brevard, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday August 28, 2014. He was born
April 3, 1930 in Newport News Virginia to the late Wesley Ocie Cutchins and Joyce Edwards Cutchins.

Rev. Cutchins was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and pastored several churches which include Connarista Baptist Church in Aulander NC, Haymarket Baptist Church in Haymarket VA and Bethlehem Baptist Church in Richmond VA. He also served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years. He was retired as an advocate for the disabled for the State of Virginia.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Clarke Cutchins; one son, David Owen Cutchins; two daughters, Janice Lynn Mietla and Nancy Diane McCollum; one sister, Patricia Ann Chadwick; four grandchildren: Daniel and Chad Mietla, Hope Cutchins, and Trevor Delancey; and two great grandchildren, Casen and Ryder Mietla.

Memorial services were held at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Bill Voorhees and Dr. Don Berry. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
