Obituary for Carolyn Marie Neill (Gibson)

Carolyn Marie Gibson Neill, 67, of Brevard went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2014 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 16, 1946 in Stokes County, NC to the late Clyde T. Gibson, Sr. and Nannie George Ward.
She recently retired from Transylvania County Schools. She drove the special education bus 2800 and 103 for 19 years. She was also a custodian at Brevard High School. She was an avid flower gardener. If it would grow in the mountains, she had it in her yard. She was known for her many beautiful azaleas in the spring and her beautiful blooming flowers and trees in the summer. She also enjoyed cooking her favorite southern dishes for her family and friends.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by; her loving and caring husband of 26 years, William “Buddy” Neill; her children, Jamie L. Fulp and wife Becky M. Fulp of Pisgah Forest, Penny A. Morgan and husband Charlie V. Morgan of Hendersonville, and Kenny L. Fulp and wife Tina Fulp of Charlotte; step children George Neill of Fredericksburg, VA and William Combs of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Justin L. Fulp a Fire Control Technician 2nd Class Submariner serving aboard the USS Newport News SSN750 and fiancée Madeline G. Fletcher of Chesapeake, VA, Kaylee A. Fulp, Jacob M. Fulp, Kenny L. Fulp, Jr.; her two brothers Richard D. Gibson, Clyde T. Gibson Jr. and wife Dora E. Gibson; her three sisters Vonda A. Hardy and husband Barry R. Hardy, Robin G. Moore and husband James T. Moore, Tammy Gibson Kendrick and husband Perry L. Kendrick, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She has been reunited in heaven with her three sisters Wanda Kay Gibson, Myrtle G. Golden and Dorothy G. Heath and her brother Reid “Buddy” T. Gibson.
Memorial services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 10 W. Holden Road, Brevard, NC 28712, Thursday, September 11th at 6:30 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to Dr. Gregory A. Pollack and staff at Brevard Cancer and Infusion Center; Dr. Brian P. Quaranta and staff at 21st Century Oncology of Brevard; Dr. Minerva Pineiro and staff at Pineiro Family Practice and the staff at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
