Lawrence Douglas Fisher

Brevard – Lawrence Douglas Fisher, 91, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014.

He was the son of the late Walter Preston and Julia Ann Galloway Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter; Carol Ann Fisher, brother; Ira Robinson, and sisters; Dohonov Fisher Galloway and Lowee Fisher Hampton.

Mr. Fisher, formerly of Aiken, SC was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a Gideon and a member of the American Legion. He also proudly served his country in the Army during WWI.

Surviving are his wife Carolyn Ann Fisher and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Al Cauley and Dr. Gordon Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons, 222 Love Drive, Marion, NC 28752.
