Obituary for Tommy Gene Clayton Sr.

Tommy Gene Clayton Sr., of Rosman went to be with his Lord at his loving home on Sunday March 15, 2015.
He was born July 12, 1951 in Transylvania County to Ima Jean Lance. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Tom and Emma Connolly Clayton.

Mr. Clayton faithfully attended the Church of God in Rosman and retired from Ecusta.
He spent warm sunny days sitting on his front porch enjoying the sun and giving a friendly wave and a smile as his friends drove by. On Sundays you could find him sitting in a pew at the Church of God in Rosman. On weekdays around 3o’clock you could find him sitting in the school line waiting patiently to pick up his two granddaughters from school, then he spent his evenings enjoying every minute God had given him with his “Pappy’s” girls. He will be missed by so many but forever be in our hearts.

Survivors include two sons; Tommy Clayton Jr. and his wife Vickie and Curtis Clayton and his wife Stephanie, two brothers; Tom Lance and his wife Tammy, Moto Lance and his wife Cindy, two sisters; Carolyn Flynn and her husband Ken, Linda Cole and her husband Robert and five grandchildren; Steven Galloway and Tyler Galloway, Cheyenne, Savannah and Canon Clayton.

Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday March 19, 2015 at the Church of God in Rosman. Conducted by Rev. Mike Pressley, Rev Terry Whiteside and Rev. Bill Bruner. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday evening at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
