Obituary for Beverly Wall Steuerwald
Beverly M. Wall Steuerwald of Umatilla, FL went home to be with her Savior on June 25, 2015. She was born October 8, 1922 to Benjamin and Pearl Wall and was raised in Holmen, Wisconsin along with her four siblings. She married James Steuerwald in 1951, and they lived in New Palestine, Indiana, for more than 40 years, where they were faithful members of Burge Terrace Baptist Church in Indianapolis. She and Jim moved permanently to Florida in 1994, where they served faithfully at Victory Baptist Church in Eustis.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her four siblings and their spouses; her youngest daughter, Karen; and niece, Betty Jane Lentz. She is survived by her children Marsha (& Phil) Crist of Indianapolis; J Bradley (& Nancy) Steuerwald of Greenwood, IN; Paula Thompson of Fairbanks, AK; Mark (& Sharon) Steuerwald of Brevard, NC; grandchildren: Jon (& Lynn) Crist of Indianapolis; Ayren (& Tammy) Steuerwald) and Shana Miller of Indianapolis; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Beverly will be held Thursday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, FL with Pastor Charles Ashley officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and residents of Cedar Mtn. House assisted living facility for their compassionate care for Beverly over the past few months. We also want to thank Transylvania Regional Hospital staff, The Oaks, Tore’s Home, and Transylvania County Hospice for their care as well.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to the mission fund at Victory Baptist Church, 1309 CR 452, Eustis, FL 32726.
