Opalee Masters Chapman

Sapphire – Opalee Masters Chapman, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry Masters and Annie Mae Murphy Masters and was the wife of the late Everett H. Chapman. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Ronald Chapman, a granddaughter, Victoria West, and 3 brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Chapman loved crafts, outdoor activities and, most of all, her children.
Surviving are her children, Linda Robertson and husband Larry of Smithfield, VA, Darlene Lance of Candler, Marilyn Oliver and husband Pete of Sapphire, Thomas Chapman and wife Beth of Brevard, David Chapman of Candler, Mark Chapman and wife Debbie of Etowah; brothers, Joseph Masters and wife Ann of Hampton, VA, Gene Masters of Asheville; sisters, Clovey Galloway of Rosman, Shelby Hobby of Marietta, GA, Becky Richardson and husband David of Rosman; fifteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Noel Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in Whitmire Cemetery, Flat Creek Valley Rd., Lake Toxaway.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm Friday at the funeral home.
