Obituary for Anita Marcella Beaulieu Tetreault (Beaulieu)

Anita Marcella Beaulieu Tetreault (Beaulieu)
Etowah - Anita M Beaulieu - born Aug 21. 1926 in Willimansett Massachusetts to Olivia Riberdy Beaulieu & Louis Beaulieu. Anita was one of 4 children; Roger, Roland & Theresa– Anita was the eldest of 2 daughters with 2 older brothers. Anita overcome an early bout with scoliosis as a child.
Despite this early physical obstacle, she outlived all her entire family.
She loved her father and mother and respected their authority in her life. Anita worked as a young woman for the Spaulding’s making basketballs. Her income also helped support her family. The hard work taught her the value of a dollar, which she instilled on to her 4 adopted children.
She met the love of her life, Gerard Tetreault, and they were married in 1951. Anita volunteered at an Orphanage called Brightside in Westfield, Massachusetts. She worked in the nursery caring for the young infants. She was a good care taker and it wasn’t long before her heart went out to the babies she cared for and she sought to adopt a child of her own. She and Jerry adopted 4 babies in a 3 year span. She and Jerry raised their children in Springfield, Massachusetts and later lived in Windsor, Connecticut for several years before they moved and eventually retired in Etowah, North Carolina.
Anita instilled in each of her kids that same respect of our elders, reverence for God and a rock solid faith… iron strong and solid. Throughout her life she lived life by her faith drawing strength from it through life’s many trials including losing her three siblings and her husband of 57 years. She also lost her one and only natural child through a mis-carriage. God had already assigned her four souls to nurture and that was enough.
Anita imparted on her children the knowledge that they could do whatever they set their mind to. She lived for JOY putting Jesus First…. Others second…. and Herself last. She shared that message of JOY - Gods light with everyone she came in contact with. She was active in all her parish communities, serving where she could. Some of those post included the Altar Society, Eucharistic Minister to the sick, parish council, choir, RCIA, St Mary & Joseph & Jesus Society.
Anita had a devotion to Mary and the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus and said the Rosary every day. It was her secret to her steadfast faith. She was an active communicant in Sacred Heart Parish her adopted home parish in Brevard , NC. She loved playing Mah Jonggs with her parish girlfriends regularly. She enjoyed many fun activities.
Anita had a keen sense of people in need and could pick a person out in a crowd and approach them to find out what was troubling them and offer them prayer. She uplifted a lot of people that God sent in her path. She had incredible wisdom and foresight. She raised her family with a steady hand and always had the last word. People knew where they stood with her, she spoke her mind and told you if you were off course in your faith walk. Unmoved by cultural trends or what was politically correct. Mom lived out her Catholic faith well and left a legacy of that for others to follow. She leaves behind her 4 children – son Paul Tetreault from Stevenson Ranch, California; daughter Marcella Wutka from Monson Massachusetts; son Leo from Sanford Maine and son Larry from Beaumont California. In addition she leaves behind 9 grand kids & 8 great grand kids.
Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Parish in Brevard Friday at 11 am followed by burial service and reception at Sacred Heart Church.
