Obituary for Cathy Pressley Brown (Pressley)
Rosman – Cathy Pressley Brown, 54, went to her Heavenly Home on April 25, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Pickens, SC, she resided in Rosman most of her life. She was a 1980 graduate of Rosman High School.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Ralph Pressley and brother, Ralph Daniel Pressley.
Surviving are her loving husband of 30 years, Rickey Brown; three daughters, Carrie Brown of Brevard, Megan Lowe and husband Caleb of Little River, and Kristen Brown of Rosman; two granddaughters, Kadence Parton and Kinsley Lowe; her mother, Lois Pressley of Rosman; five brothers, Rev. Michael Pressley and wife Laury of Brevard, David Pressley of Holden Beach, NC, Rev. Dale Pressley and wife Treva of Brevard, Tim Pressley and wife Tina of Rosman, Kenny Ray Pressley and wife Lisa of Valdese, NC; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, two Goddaughters and several cousins; sister-in-law, Diann Parton who she considered her only sister. She loved you all so much.
She was a devoted member of the Rosman Church of God. Cathy was an inspiration to everyone she met. She was a witness for the Lord whether she was at the doctor’s office or the grocery store. She wanted everyone to know the Lord and what He could do. She never for one second lost her faith. She knew God had a plan for her. Cathy definitely made an impact on all who knew her. We will never forget her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, and her loving heart. Other than being a servant for her Lord, she was a loving wife, mother, daughter and Nanny to her family who she loved “To the moon and back” and would absolutely do anything for.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2016 also at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodring Cemetery in Tuckasegee.
