Paul Thomas  O'Loughlin
Black Mountain – Paul Thomas O’Loughlin, 85, formerly of Brevard, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
A native of Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Peter Joseph O’Loughlin, Sr. and Anna Murphy O’Loughlin and was the husband of the late Marguerite B. O’Loughlin. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Peter. J. O’Loughlin, Jr.
Mr. O’Loughlin was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the D.A.V., the American Legion, the V.F.W., the Knights of Columbus and the Postal Workers Union. Mr. O’Loughlin was retired from the U. S. Postal Service and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include a niece, Linda O’Loughlin of Mooresville, NC; step-daughter, Bonnie Souliere of Salt Lake City, UT; step-grandchildren, Michelle Larson, Allison Wilson, and Celeste Larson; eight step- great grandchildren; extended family members and many friends.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 am Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with military rites provided by the Honor Guard for Transylvania County Veterans.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
