Condolence From: Cindy Kirkpatrick
Condolence: My Aunt Ruth - a remarkable unique beautiful lady! She loved life and stared death down many times with "I'm not ready yet". Aunt Ruth had a genuine great sense of humor and she always felt Blessed in all situations. We spent the night that Richard, her husband, passed away, on the phone and for the past 10 years we enjoyed a best friend relationship. She was always encouraging me to do my best and she certainly blazed the trail. Aunt Ruth loved to dance and she recently told me that I would be alright as long as I just kept dancing. So in remembrance to my Aunt Ruth - I will keep embracing life until I see you in Heaven, my friend!!
Love Always, Cindy and Rico

Condolence: Aunt Ruth, As I heard the news a bit late, I thought of the many days in our backyard in Newburgh: you, Mom and me with lots of white wine and stomachs hurting from laughter. Over the past few years, when I called to see how you were, you only cared about how Nick and I were. And you talked about all the activities and your church.

Valiant and funny always in spite of what I knew you were going through. You are my inspiration and I am happy you are now with Mom as I know they must have wine in heaven! Love, Susan and Nick

Condolence: Ruth Croak is a legend in the parish of Sacred Heart in Brevard. There isn't anyone who attends the 10:30am Mass on Sunday who wouldn't recognize Ruth as she enters the room with one of her stylish hats.

Ruth seems to love everyone, want to talk to everyone and invite them to have lunch with her.

My first memories of Ruth came when I started working with the children attending Rise & Shine at the Baptist Church, we would work with the children (our scholars) in an after school program helping them to finish their homework, if they had little or no homework we would bring work for them. Ruth loved working with the children and,I am sure, missed them when she was no longer able to attend.

Ruth will be missed. Marilyn

Condolence: Dear Aunt Ruth, we had many conversations over the last six years and I will miss them - we discussed your early life and that of my mother - to me, you represented grace and elegance and boundless energy - always on the go, always helping others and in general, having a good time.

I am so sorry your last year was so difficult - but you are at peace now.

Love always,

Your niece Carole
