Obituary for Oliver Cleveland Raines

Brevard – Oliver Cleveland Raines, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late James Kirby Raines and Gertrude Daisy Eubanks Raines. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Sanford Austin Raines, and two sisters, Zola and Lula.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Ball Raines; one brother, Foster Raines of Brevard; many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, December 1, 2016 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Holden Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
