Obituary for Enoch A. Reese

Brevard – Enoch Reese, 92, passed away in Travelers Rest, SC on Friday, February 17, 2017.

Enoch was born on May 19, 1924 in Madison County, NC to the late Cecil and Esther Reese. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ila Audrey Slagle Reese as well as his brothers; Cornelius, Otto, Winslow, Aaron, Moses, Joseph, Plato and Levi Reese, sisters; Lula Reese Wilds, Ollie Reese Coates and Minnie Reese Buckner.

Survivors include his four sons; Larry (Susan), Sam (Kay), Philip (Margaret), Tim (Pamela) Reese as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Leila Reese Easterly and his brother, Oakley Reese and many nieces and nephews.

Enoch was a Navy veteran of World War II and a lifelong farmer, managing farms in North and South Carolina and Florida.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Revs. Billy Ledford and Ron Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with military honors provided by the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
