Anthony Joseph Manasseri passed away July 23, 2017.

Tony was born July 8, 1940, in Oswego, NY, the son of Salvatore and Rosina Manasseri. After graduating from Oswego High School and Mohawk Valley Technical Institute, he began his career as Electrical Design Engineer and Project Manager at Black Clawson in Fulton, NY, and retired as Chief Engineer at Reimelt Corporation in Odessa, FL.

Realizing their dream of living in the Smoky Mountains, Tony and his wife designed and built their beloved log home, enjoying woodworking, gardening, hiking and traveling, and for 17 years, lived in gratitude for this, their very own paradise.

A proud patriot, Tony served as U.S. Army Radio Operator during the Vietnam War.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Betty Jane. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith, daughter Michelle and son-in-law Will, daughter Karen and son-in-law Scott, sister Catherine, brother John, and grandsons Henry and Jack.

A memorial mass will be held Thursday, August 10 at noon, St. Jude's Catholic Church in Sapphire, NC. Memorial donations may be made to The Independence Fund, serving severely wounded veterans, at http://independencefund.org.
