Obituary for Eugene Christopher Sheehan
Eugene Christopher Sheehan Jr., age 95, passed away on the morning of January 8, 2018. His beloved wife Christine was by his side.
Gene was born November 30, 1922 in Boston, Massachusetts where he lived until 1992 when he moved to Brevard, North Carolina. His life was spent in service to others, as a facilities manager for both a state Veterans hospital in Massachusetts and for a low-income housing development in Brevard during what should have been his retirement years. He was preceded in death by his son Eugene, who died in 2016, and his son-in-law Paul Bailey, who died in 1991.
Surviving is his wife, Christine of Brevard, NC; son, David Sheehan and wife Cathy of Winthrop, MA; daughter, Carol Backman and husband Kenny of Billerica, MA; son, Paul Sheehan and wife Mechele of Tyngsboro, MA; daughter, Peg Bailey of Saugus, MA; son, Kevin of Plano, TX; daughter, Aileen Sheehan-Wilson and husband Ryan of Weaverville, NC; granddaughters Lisa and Jennifer Sheehan; and grandson Devon and Ryan Sheehan.
There are no funeral services currently planned for Gene, a memorial is being planned for the spring. For those who wish to be advised of details of the memorial service or to send condolences to the family, you may reach out through the email: eugenecsheehan@gmail.com
