Mildred Catherine  Vincent (Queen)
Mildred “Millie” Vincent, 91, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at her daughter’s home.
Millie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom Vincent; two sons, Jerry Bell and Ric Fortner; two daughters, Judy Kelly and Jerri Vincent; her parents, Henry and Hattie Queen; and her siblings, Janie Queen, Horace Queen, Jimmy Queen, Harrison Queen, Sonny Queen, Josie Holden and Elizabeth Leible.
Millie is survived by her daughter, Teresa Sullivan and her husband, Kevin; granddaughter, Samantha Owen and her husband Aaron; grandson, Scott Sullivan and his fiancé, Lauren Groves; her two great grandchildren, Adalyn Owen and Samuel Owen;
2 nieces, Gladys Street and her husband Mack; Carolyn Gaither; and 1 nephew, Charles Holden.
Millie was a believer in the Christian Faith and a member of Carr’s Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Berry’s Restaurant in 1994 to help take care of her grandchildren and volunteer at the Brian Center of Brevard. She was humbly named their Volunteer of the Year in 1997.
Prior to returning to her daughter’s home, Millie was a resident at Cedar Mountain House where she was cared for by a loving and compassionate staff. Her final wishes were to be cremated and returned to Florida by her daughter to be laid to rest beside her husband. There will be no service.
