Obituary for Harold Frank Ball
Harold Frank Ball, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2018.
He was born on February 20, 1939 in Brevard, NC to the late Frank Oscar Ball and Levi Perry Ball. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Willa Mae Daves, Reba McCall, Mary Ellis, Ruth Barton, Ernest Ball and Cecil Ball.
Harold began his own business as a residential home builder from 1982-2007. During those 25 years he built numerous homes all over Transylvania County and upper South Carolina. His reputation as a builder was such that word of mouth was the only way he advertised.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Mary. They would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary August 5th. He was also a loving father to his two sons and Papa to his two granddaughters. To his friends and extended family, he was known for his kindness and sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Heath Ball; two sons, George Harold Ball and wife Tammy and Robert Frank Ball and wife Sybil; two granddaughters, Katelyn Noel Ball Toney and husband Joseph, and Mary Martha Lee Ball.
The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Dunn’s Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Dunn’s Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
