Saying goodbye to a loved one doesn't mean you have to follow a traditional path. The ceremony can take different turns depending on family values, personal beliefs and the manner in which the person lived. 

If your loved one wasn't religious, for example, it may be comforting to know that there are other ways to honor an individual and his or her achievements. Celebrations of Life can be entirely upbeat and inspirational. They can have a personality of their own, be staged in a meaningful setting or adopt a theme that was of deep importance to your loved one.

By exploring memories, reciting family stories and expressing your feelings with our funeral director or celebrant, we can assist you in creating a ceremony that not only fulfils important aspects of grieving and closure, but also celebrates with joy the person, his or her "story" and the ways the individual affected the lives of others. 

While Celebrations of Life are not burdened by strict rules or conventions, the event you're planning should take care to satisfy the emotional needs of family and friends. It's important that attendees get a chance to say goodbye and feel comfortable enough to laugh and grieve. Naturally, it should be faithful to the person you're honoring.
