Obituary for Anne Reece Pace (Reece)

Pisgah Forest - Anne Reece Pace, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Born in Pickens, SC, Anne was the daughter of the late Jesse Reece and Edna Dillard Riggins Reece.

Anne was a faithful member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church for over 50 years. She sang in the choir, serving wherever needs were found. Anne was always drawn to those who needed someone to come alongside them to lift them up. Her friendships were so precious to her and she constantly added to the circle of those she loved. Anne worked in various jobs in Brevard and retired from Ecusta (P.H. Glatfelter) after working there in marketing and transportation.

Anne loved her family and friends with boundless energy and compassion. She was the devoted wife to Parker Pace for 65 years. After losing him she continued to find joy in her life through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She loved her home town of Brevard and enjoyed walking the streets and visiting with everyone.

Anne is survived by daughters, Christi Pace Hinkle(Steve) and Cynthia “Cindy” Pace Owen(Randy), Tabitha Dobbins, four grandchildren, Jenny Elliott(Chris) of Durham, NC, David Hinkle(Kara) of Charlotte, NC, Jonathan Owen(Ashley) of Brevard, and Brad Hinkle of Durham; seven great grandchildren, Kennedy and Titus Owen, Maddie, Maya, and Michael Elliott, Ryan and Drew Hinkle.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Gerald, Jack, and Richard Reece, and her husband Parker Pace.

Funeral services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon to 2pm. Burial will follow the service in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
