Obituary for Billie Pamelia Bazley (Roe)
Brevard – Billie Pamelia Roe Bazley, passed away on May 30, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Roe. In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bazley and brothers, Christopher and John Roe.
She was born in Cookville, TN on December 24, 1948. Billie was a decorated US Navy veteran who earned a National Defense Service Medal. She was the first woman to be assigned to the FLT Combat Driss Act in San Diego, CA. She was a registered nurse for Pardee Hospital until retiring in 2011.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles G. Roe and wife Michelle of Costa Mesa, CA and Thomas S. Roe of Pisgah Forest, nephews, Cotton, David, Jon and Chris Roe, nieces, Amanda Minugh and husband David and Jessica McCrary and Husband Jesse, Sabrina Blevins, Kristen Vicini and Latisha Roe, 11 great nieces and nephews and 10 great great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
