Obituary for Brenda Sue Robinson (Galloway)
Brenda Galloway Robinson, 79, of Brevard passed away January 9, 2021.
Born November 3, 1941, she was the youngest daughter of the late Louie and Beulah Pangle Galloway. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Bishop, Betty Stewart, and Barbara Hendricks as well as infant sisters, Marinda and Frances Galloway; brothers, James Galloway and Derrell Galloway; sisters-in-law Carolyn Galloway and Mildred Galloway; brothers-in-law Joe Stewart and Bobby Bishop.
Survivors include daughters Marcia Searcy (Randy) of Rosman, Karla Duckworth (Danny) of Pisgah Forest, and Krystal Adams (Chuck) of Brevard; grandsons Aaron Newman (Jessica), Kameron Newman, Trent Willis, and Austin Adams; two great- grandchildren Jade Smith and Ellerie Newman; brothers TC Galloway, Jerry Galloway and Terry Galloway (Wanda); brother-in-law Bud Hendricks as well as many nieces and nephews. Brenda is also survived by a devoted friend and long-time companion, C.H. (Buddy) Hutchins. They have shared many years and enjoyed traveling together.
Brenda worked at Ecusta in the rod department after high school. In 1965 she and her husband Bill moved to Jupiter, Florida to pursue job opportunities. She and her daughters returned to Transylvania County 15 years later. She worked at Brevard College and retired from College Walk in 2009. She valued her job and her co-workers.
Brenda was a quiet soul and gentle in spirit. She was an awesome cook and everyone enjoyed her specialties - potato salad and dressing. She enjoyed watching Tar Heel basketball and car racing, especially Dale Earnhardt. She and Buddy spent a lot of time watching Western movies.
Brenda was a believer and we know we will see her again in Heaven. Special thanks go to Care Partners Hospice of Transylvania County - Amanda Alexander, Tenille Holden, Katie Raines, and Dr. Morris Jenkins. Your care and support are much appreciated.
