Obituary for Brenda Kay Whitmire (Teets)
Brenda Kay Whitmire, age 57, of Brevard passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Bessie Hamilton Teets. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Diana and Jennifer Kilgore; son, David Cottrell; brother, Bob Teets; father-in-law, Harold Lee Whitmire
Brenda was born in Circleville, OH, was raised in Jeffersonville, OH and graduated from Miami Trace High School in 1979. She and her husband, Steve, were married on May 21, 1995.
Brenda was a lifelong Ohio State football fan. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, adding to her extensive Elvis collection and riding motorcycles with her husband, Steve.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Steven Lee Whitmire; two brothers, John and Bill Teets; five sisters, Sue Kunie, Kathy Ison, Bonnie Whaley, Debbie Davis and Judy Smith; mother-in-law, Carol W. Boyd and her husband, LTC James Boyd, U.S. Army (Ret.); one sister-in-law, Linda Whitmire; two brothers-in-law, Mark Whitmire and David B. Hogsed.
Funeral services will be held 2pm, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
The family would like to thank her home healthcare nurses, Nicole and Brook.
