Obituary for Carolyn McCoy Eubanks

Carolyn McCoy Eubanks went home to be with the Lord August 10, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late Joe and Elsie McCoy. She was the last surviving sibling, preceded in death by Sylvester, Stella, Anna, Katherine, Warren, Helen, Hazel, Jessie and David.

She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, gran-nana and follower of Christ. She was a faithful servant of her church, Carr’s Hill Baptist, and was a charter member of Little Cove Baptist Church. She held several positions in the church - Her favorite was being a teacher. She was a huge supporter of mission’s outreach.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bobby, two sons, Jeff (Kim) and Kelley, one grandson, Jordan, who was the joy of her life. She had many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.

She graduated Valedictorian of her class at Tamassee DAR School in South Carolina. She held several jobs in her lifetime, but her most passionate position was at the Transylvania Baptist Association.

Her many talents included cooking - bringing the family together, using her computer skills, organizing family events and reading/studying. Her most recent hobby was crocheting.

There will be a private graveside service followed by a visitation at Carr’s Hill Baptist Church on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 1:30-2:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:30pm with the Reverend Alan Thompson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gideons, Brevard Camp, P. O. Box 1338, Brevard, NC 28712 in her honor.
