Obituary for Carolyn Lloyd Owen (Daniels)
Carolyn Lloyd Daniels Owen, age 82 of Horse Shoe, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018.
Mrs. Owen was born on January 4, 1936 in Pisgah Forest, NC to the late Lemuel Lloyd Daniels and Olivia Morris Daniels. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Peeler.
She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church. Mrs. Owen was a 1954 Brevard High School graduate and had been employed by Ecusta.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Ted. J. Owen; her daughter, Heidi Owen of Horse Shoe; her son, Bryan O. Owen and wife Jennifer of Chesnee, SC; one grandson, Daniel Owen of Horse Shoe; two sisters, Thelma Siniard and Mary Ann Galyon both of Brevard; one niece, Kathy Siniard Davis of Ohio; one nephew, Dan Galyon and wife Suzi of Florida.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 17, 2018 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolinas Foothills, P. O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
