Obituary for Cleveland Roscoe Galloway

Cleveland Roscoe Galloway, age 79, of Hendersonville, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
He was the son of the late E. R. and Rachael “Bobbie” Batson Galloway. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Manley Galloway.
Roscoe served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed sports of all types playing both college basketball and baseball for Gaston Tech where he received his training in electrical engineering. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He also coached baseball and football in his later years. Roscoe was a lover of country and gospel music and was always entertained by conversations over an acoustic guitar.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Galloway and wife April of Etowah, Tony Galloway and wife Cindy of Etowah and Chris Galloway of Ashland, OR, brother, Bill Galloway and wife Marvita of Rosman, sister, Madrie McRainey of Gastonia, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services, with military honors provided by the Transylvania County Honor Guard, will be held, 12noon, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
