Obituary for Debbie Woodruff Hutcheson

Cedar Mountain - Debbie Hutcheson, 66, passed away on May 2, 2021 of natural causes and with her husband by her side.
She was born on December 6, 1954 at Fort Bragg, in Cumberland County, NC. She graduated from Seventy First High School in 1974.
While in high school, she met Chuck Hutcheson, and they wed in 1974, going on to have one child, Travis Hutcheson.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Shirley Woodruff, and aunt, Shelby Allgire.
Survivors include her husband Chuck Hutcheson, son, Travis Hutcheson and wife Mandi, grandchildren Bree, Suneson, Rion Williams, Nadia Revis, and Aidan Revis, great-grandchild, Anjel Leizon Zuniga-Whitesides II, sister, Tammy Sullivan, brothers, Danny Woodruff, Gary Rutan, Niece Rachael Green, cousins, Tim, Jerry and Kevin Algire, and Uncle “Corky” Allgire. Also surviving are her sister in law, Kathy Nutt and her husband Harvey, nephew, Ashley Edwards and partner Danielle McClellan, brother in law, Rusty Fleming and wife Jennifer, nieces, Sarah Fleming, Maddie Hanson, Emma Hansen, nephews, Samuel and Jonah Fleming, ; brother in law, Nathan Fleming and wife Koolyash, niece, Asena, nephews, Joshua and Noah, brother in law, Joel Hutcheson.
Debbie worked in manufacturing facilities including Ecusta and Smith Systems. Besides her family she was devoted to her two Corgis; Jasper and Tucker. At age 42, she discovered her competitive spirit as a runner and participated in many regional races. Retiring in 2016, Debbie spent time travelling across the US with Chuck and Tucker. She had a big smile, infectious laugh and a big heart.
An informal celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.” When you gaze upon Looking Glass Rock, see her smile!
