Obituary for Delmar Fern Hardman
Delmar Fern Hardman, 80 of Pisgah Forest, passed away at his home May 25, 2022, following a long battle with cancer.
He was born November 11, 1941, in Clinton, SC. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and Western Carolina University. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a computer programmer at Ecusta for many years where he made many long-lasting friendships. Most recently, he enjoyed attending Etowah Baptist Church. In his free time, he could be found walking the track at Brevard College, or exercising at the Fitness Factory where he never met a stranger. In the past, he also spent time as a volunteer for the Transylvania Literacy Council and assisting with clean-up and maintenance at Davidson River Cemetery.
He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Patsy Ann (Stovall), for 57 years, and a loving father to Daniel and Catherine. He was immensely proud of his two grandsons, Kiery Hardman and Aiden Keene.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fern and Beatrice Hardman, his sister Faye Lowery, and brother Paul Hardman.
A private graveside service will be held May 31.
