Obituary for Diane Edwards Sumner
Barbara Diane Sumner (Mama Di) entered into eternal rest on June 11th, 2019.
Diane (Mama Di), was born on July 6, 1947. She was a daughter of the late Jay William Edwards and Mary Goodson Edwards.
A graduate of Brevard High School, she retired from Ecusta Corporation. Diane then cared for others through home health care. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed spending all of her time with her family. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Justus, Jackie Edwards and Michael Edwards.
Survivors include her two sons, Travis Dean Sumner and wife Deana of Edgefield SC, and Jonathan Brian Sumner and wife Natalie of Mt. Pleasant SC; grandchildren, Padgett Sumner, Kate Boyd, Maggie Sumner, and Peyton Sumner; siblings, Dennis Edwards and wife Maybelle, Gerald Edwards and wife Vickie, Carolyn Owenby and husbamd Charles, and Pecolia Edwards; ten nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14th, 2019 at Brevard Wesleyan Church at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
