Obituary

Ethel Cumile Owen Galloway, age 84, of Balsam Grove, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 29, 2019.

She was the daughter of the late Luther Calvin and Ethel McCall Owen. She was preceded in death by six sisters, one brother, one daughter in law and one grandson.

Cumile was a member of Woods Memorial Baptist Church. She was a dedicated Christian and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Ethel enjoyed singing, fishing, camping, the flee market, thrift stores and her flower garden.

Survivors include the love of her life for 67 years, Dewey Galloway, six sons, Hayward Galloway and his wife Eloise of Tuckasegee, Rex Galloway and his wife Venelle of Balsam Grove, Clifford Galloway and his wife Laura of Balsam Grove, Greg Galloway and his wife Tammy of Silversteen, Chris Galloway and his wife Theresa of Middlefork, Keith Galloway and his wife Kristina of Silversteen, one daughter, Chelena Blythe and her husband Bobby of Silversteen, three sisters, Grace Reese of Asheville, Veda McGuire of Little Mountain and Vivian Watkins of Winnsboro, TX, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11am, Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Woods Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm, Wednesday, July 30, 2019 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
