Obituary for Frank Austin Stevens
Lake Toxaway - Frank Austin Stevens, age 85, died February 10, 2021 at Mission Hospital, Asheville.
Frank was born Oct. 5, 1935 in Raburn County, GA to the late Bruce A. Stevens and Maggie Harkins Stevens. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James E. Stevens.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War who served four years. He also served two years in the Merchant Marines. He retired from the Ecusta paper plant with nearly 40 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, gardening, and visiting his many friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Irene Clayton Stevens, daughter, Monique Flynn (David) of Pisgah Forest, NC, son, Lt. Col. Michael A. Stevens (Lisa) of Brevard, NC and Washington D.C and Macayle Stevens of the home, 3 grandsons, Jared Flynn (Savannah)of Inman, SC, Joshua Flynn (Alyssa) of Inman, SC, and Aaron Stevens of Auburn University in Auburn, AL. As well as several brother and sister-in-law’s, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with Military rites will be held 2pm, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at North Toxaway Baptist Church and Life Center where he was a member and also was an ordained Deacon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
