Obituary for Gladys Faye Galloway (Chapman)
Gladys C. Galloway passed away peacefully on November 5, 2022. She was born April 14, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Transylvania County.
Gladys was married to Edward Galloway who passed May 9, 2021. They were married for 72 years.
She leaves behind two daughters, Laverne G. Hames, and Treva Pressley husband Dale; three grandchildren, Caleb Pressley wife Ashley, Adrienne Honeycutt husband Ronnie, and Bethany Beddingfield and husband Mark; seven great-grandchildren; Kathy, Andrew, Timothy Honeycutt. Noah, Camden, Brantley Beddingfield, and Jaxon Pressley.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents John and Essie Morgan Chapman, and ten of her brothers and sisters. Just one of her siblings, brother, Allen Chapman and wife Sandy is surviving.
Gladys loved the Lord. She loved to garden and can the fruits of her garden. She loved to give her can food to others. She called it giving them the “roses while they lived.”
A private family service will be at Old Toxaway Cemetery.
