Obituary for James Britton Owen
James B Owen (Jim) of Pisgah Forest NC passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2023.
Jim was born July 15, 1945 in Jackson County to the late George and Inez Owen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Cebren Brown, two sisters Iris Owen and Jean Snipes
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time hunting and fishing. Jim spent 30 years as a golf course grounds keeper.
He is survived by his sister Virginia Holland of Pisgah Forest, daughter Jennifer Beck of Oregon, four grandchildren, favorite great nephew Jackson Owen, along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 1oam, Tuesday, May 9, 2023at Davidson River Cemetery.
