Jeromy Shane Raffield, "Red," departed his earthly life December 11, 2022, at his childhood home surrounded by his loving family, including his devoted wife of 32 years.
Shane's family would like him to be remembered for his love of the outdoors, being an avid deer hunter, his sense of humor and his loving heart. Shane enjoyed picking his guitar and spending time with his family, especially around a small fire. He loved being a papaw just about more than anything.
Shane is survived by his parents, Jack and Nancy Raffield of Pisgah Forest; his brother, Chris, and sister-in-law, Carla; nieces, Codie, Casper, Canyon, and nephew, Cyler Raffield of Landrum SC; niece, Taylor Torrence of Pisgah Forest; his wife, Debbie Raffield, and their three children and their spouses, Shana Lynn Raffield and Clarence Bentley, Jeromy Paul Raffield and Cassandra Passmore, Dakota Brook Lee Raffield and Charles McCall, all of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren Owen Garrett, Jeromiah Raffield and Shalynn McCall; and many more nieces and nephews whom he deeply loved. Shane is preceded in death by his grandparents, many friends and his younger sister, Tania Renee.
He spent the last several years studying the Lord in his word and found peace within Him. His family now finds peace that he is in the hands of our loving merciful Father. His family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this time.
There will be a celebration of life Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1 pm at Carson's Creek Baptist Church in the community building. Please bring your guitars and memories to share with his family.
