Obituary for Joe Charlie "J. C." Lance
Joe Charlie Lance (J. C.), 73 of Brevard, North Carolina passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at his home.
He was predeceased by his parents, George W. Lance and Ola Faye McGaha Lance, a sister Cecilia Ann Lance and brother-in-law Gene Bracken. He is survived by a sister, Rachel L. Bracken of Brevard, brother Stanley E. Lance of Rosman, nephew Jason E. Bracken, niece Autumn G. Lance, and two great nieces Kenley G. Bracken and Khloe L. Bracken.
J. C. served in the U.S. Army from 1969 through 1972, did a tour in Vietnam and was honorable discharged.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator in Greenville, North Carolina for 43 years and came back home after he retired in December of 2018 to live. J. C. loved NASCAR even went to some of the races. He also liked watching sports, football, basketball, baseball and watching western movies.
Graveside services will be held 1pm, Friday, October 7, 2022 at Connestee Cemetery with military honors.
