Obituary for Joseph Mitchell Jones, Jr.
Joseph Mitchell Jones, Jr., age 92, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 10, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at The Oaks of Brevard.
Mr. Jones was born on February 1, 1927 in Transylvania County to the late Joseph Mitchell Jones, Sr. and Geneva Wilson Jones.
He was a woodworker by trade and was a member Rocky Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Rocky Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. After the services, there will be a meal for family and friends in the church family life center.
Memorials may be made to the Rocky Hill Baptist Church Missions Fund.
