Obituary for Kelvin Keith Kilpatrick

Kelvin Keith Kilpatrick, at the age of 60 passed away Sunday July 17th, 2022. He passed away peacefully on a peach farm in Fort Valley, GA picking up his last load.

Kelvin was the son of Jackie and Barbara Kilpatrick and was born in Avon Park, FL on October 21st, 1961
Both of his parents are with him in heaven as well as his loving Grandparents Fred & Reba Kilpatrick.
He lived most of his life in Transylvania County in North Carolina as well as Frostproof Florida.
Kelvin leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years Margaret “Linda” Kilpatrick who he cherished more than life itself, and his daughter Rowena “Roserin” Kilpatrick who he adored.

Kelvin also leaves to cherish his memory, daughters Tina Boyle and Amy Hamilton who he loved dearly, grandchildren Jessica Boyle, Josh Boyle, and Landan Hamilton, and great grandchild Tierney Ramsey.
Kelvin grew up with 3 loving siblings Loretta Lance, Robert Kilpatrick and the third, Kimberley Beebe who is with him in heaven. He also loved each and every one of his many nieces and nephews that he leaves behind.
Kelvin also cared very much for his sister-in-law Rita Scruggs and Aunt Molly Patterson and so many more it is impossible to list them all.

Kelvin was a tall tell of a man. He never met a stranger anywhere he went which was all over the country as he was a Truck Driver. Kelvin was known to his trucking family as “Gator”. Gator was one of a kind and was the hardest working Asphalt Cowboy around. Gator was born to drive a truck. He was driving for Scott Haynie trucking for years and always talked about how great a man Scott was not only as a boss but a man he looked up to and how much he loved his family at Flavor First. He was always there for everyone even if it was a late-night call from a buddy just to have someone to talk to on the road or even giving a stranger money for a “SUP” of coffee. Everyone loved his stories on the road and at home where he was known to many as “Pop”. Whether you knew him as Kelvin, Gator, or Pop you were family in his eyes. He was a very special man and loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard, NC on Tuesday, July 26. 2022 from 2-3 PM. Burial will follow at Mack McCall Cemetery.

Gator will be taking his last ride here on earth, but we know he is still rolling on the streets of Gold for the big man himself.
