Obituary for Kenneth Allen Harwood Jr.

Brevard - Kenneth “Kenney” Allen Harwood, Jr (60) suddenly passed away on January 13, 2024. Kenney was a kind and thoughtful soul, he had the biggest heart & a beautiful smile! He will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.

Kenney was born on January 26, 1963 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Kenneth Allen Harwood Sr. and Arlene Ruth Wollenhaupt Mildner.

Kenney graduated in 1981 from Clinton High School, in Clinton, Michigan. He attended college at Southwestern Community College in Sylvia, NC with solar mechanics. He worked at Splash Country in Dundee, Michigan and other jobs through the years.

He loved helping friends, he would give the shirt off his back for someone in need.

His hobbies were motorcycles, concerts, camping, cooking, fishing, farming & electronics. He spent hours reading, watching and listening to history and learning channels!

One of the highlights of his life was his trip to Alaska with his cousin Craig Harwood.

He did love his family and friends and especially his beloved Pomeranian, dog “Todd”!

Kenney is survived by his mother, Arlene and his father Kenneth. His sisters: Karyn (Howard) Owen, Kelli Harwood, Elizabeth “Lil-Bit”  (Ryan) Little, Sandy (Stewart) Jones, Pam (Bob) Preston, Fonda (Ed) Samulak, and brothers: Michael “Scooter” Mildner, Jeff Mildner & George (Debra) Black, 19 nieces and nephews and 23 great nieces and nephews and lots of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends!

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be missed dearly.

In typical Kenney fashion, there are no services planned.

We will always love and miss you Kenney…
