Rosman – Larry English, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

He was the son of the late Hilton and Julia Chavis English. He was preceded in the death by his sister, Magdalene Lee.

Larry was a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and riding his Harley throughout the country. He was an avid woodworker and a great handyman.

Surviving is the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Deloris Chapman English, one son, Larry Gene English of Cleveland, TN, one daughter, Amy English of Rosman, one sister, Virginia Schmit of Hamlet, NC, five grandchildren, Laura, Toby, Alisha, Brianna and Tristan and one great granddaughter, Annalease.

Celebration of life will be held at the English home on 2pm, Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Deegee Chapman English, has requested in lieu of flowers, to instead make a donation in Larry’s memory to the VA Hospital, a Veteran Charity Association, or to a Lung Cancer organization. Thank you.

Aunt Deegee, Gene, Amy and kids, I am so sorry for the loss of Uncle Larry... He truly was a Great Uncle, a Hero of this country for fighting for our freedom. But I know more so a Great loving husband, Daddy and Papa... Some of the best Adventures of my and Big Robbie's life were spent with Uncle Larry and Aunt Deegee... I love you all and truly loved him...He will be missed so... Carol Ann

Deegee, My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your children in family, I am so sorry for your loss he was a great friend even from miles away on a Facebook page, But there were many great times that we spit with you guys in a life that was much younger than now, I know he will be missed in many hearts and lives and I will miss him greatly he always had an encouraging word And a smile every time we have a chance to talk my prayers go out to you and the family may God give you peace and strength to make it through this hardest days of your life love you all and I wish you the best I send my love and prayers to you all Joann
