Obituary for Lois Adalene Pressley (Holden)

Lois Adalene Holden Pressley, 79, of Rosman, NC, was called to her heavenly home Monday, June 20, 2017. She was born on July 4, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Ethel Masters Holden. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the Lord and her church family, and served selflessly for 37 years as the pastor’s wife with her husband, the Rev. Ralph Pressley at Rosman Church of God. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, led children’s church, was president of the ladies’ auxiliary and sang with the church trio. Lois had a sweet, caring spirit and was a blessing to everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ralph Pressley; son, Daniel Pressley; daughter, Cathy Pressley Brown; great-granddaughter, Gracie Weaver; and brothers, J.B., Harold and Lloyd Holden. She is survived by her sons, Michael Pressley and wife, Laury of Brevard, David Pressley of Holden Beach, NC, Dale Pressley and wife, Treva of Brevard, Tim Pressley and wife, Tina of Rosman, and Kenny Pressley and wife, Lisa of Valdese, NC; son-in-law, Ricky Brown of Rosman.
Lois was the beloved grandmother (Nannie) to 11 grandchildren; Stephanie Pressley Weaver (Kyle), Stephen Pressley, Caleb Pressley (Ashley), Adrienne Pressley Honeycutt (Ronnie), Bethany Pressley Beddingfield (Mark), Carrie Brown, Megan Brown Lowe (Caleb), Kristen Brown, Tiesha Pressley, Felicia Pressley, Emma Pressley and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition, she is survived by a sister, Annie Belle Owen and husband, Guy of Winlock, WA; sisters-in-law, Jenna Sue Holden of Stanley, NC and Maggie Holden of Rosman.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home, 181 S. Caldwell St., Brevard, NC. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Michael Pressley and Rev. Dale Pressley. Graveside services will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory (formerly Pisgah Gardens).
