Obituary for Marion Charlotte Chappell (Blyth)

Marion Chappell, age 78 of Brevard, gained her Heavenly wings on Thursday, March 12, 2020 after being lovingly cared for by Dr. Walker and the ICU team for a long-term illness that crippled her lungs and decreased her ability to do the things in life that gave her the most joy, caring for her family and friends.
In the Fall of 1979, she met the love of her life, Ulysses Chappell and two families became one.
Marion leaves behind her Husband Ulysses, who together, traveled to 49 states, Canada, Mexico and Europe; sons, Eddie Fisher and wife Marsha, and Greg Fisher; step-daughter, Virginia Lamm and husband Mike; step-son Greg Chappell and wife Charlene; step-daughter Pam Laughter; 16 grandchildren which she adored and referred to as her" child support" , Tabatha, Courtney, Lindsey, Heather, Jake, Tyler, Stephanie, Zach, Cory, Diane, Jamie, Lacey, Chelsea, Andrew, Sara, Elizabeth; 12 Great-grandchildren, Josslyn, Samarafay, Natika, Dallas, Skylar, Alivia, Sebastian, Carlos, Mikey, Naveah, Corbin and Charla Rae; brothers, Charles Blyth and David Blyth; several nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by her father, Glen Carrie Blyth and Nettie Bell Jones Blyth; brother, Wade Blyth; sister Nancy Wilson; step-daughter, Teresa Frady; granddaughter, Carrie Burnside.
Marion worked at Kimberly Clark Industries in Hendersonville for 31 years until she retired in 2000.
Family would like to Thank Dr. Pinerio and her staff, Amy and Katie for caring for her all these years. She thought of you as her family!
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 16, 2020 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
