Obituary for Marjorie Elizabeth LaRocca (Menger)
Brevard - Margie LaRocca, 80, passed away at home on November 14, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Menger and Helen Perry Menger. She was preceded in death by her husband, John LaRocca, and brother, Robert Menger.
A retired registered nurse, she was blessed to call Brevard home for 40 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her family was her world, and she always made sure they knew it with an abundance of hugs, kisses and delicious food.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving companion, Michael Hill; children: Karen Snyder (Olaf); Tony LaRocca (Emily); John Rodriguez (Mirna); Bob LaRocca (Gloria); Karen Gremaux (Dan); Kathy Evans; and Karleen DeClemente (Rich); sister Carol Bernardis and brother Art Menger (Elaine); and her many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Advent Health and Four Seasons Hospice for their care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sharing House to honor her service to others and/or to the Transylvania County Animal Services for her love of animals.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
