Obituary for Martha Nell Corn (Hogsed)
Martha Nell Corn, age 82, native of Transylvania County and resident of Henderson County, passed away Wednesday, January 30th, 2019 at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville, NC.
She was the daughter of the late Florida and William Hogsed and was preceded in death by her husband Charles Sherman Corn, children, Linda, Charles and Jeffery, brothers, Bill Hogsed and wife Janie, Fred Hogsed, and sister, Helen Brookshire and husband Charles.
She was a devoted wife, mother and friend that will be missed by all who knew her. Nell enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Dunn’s Rock Baptist Church in Brevard, NC.
Survivors include daughters Marilyn Verner and husband Cade, Deborah Stamey and husband Eddie, Brenda Dobbins and husband Mike, and sons Randy Corn and wife Ronda, and Bryan Corn, her dearly loved sister, Betty Sanford and sister-in-law, Zelma Hogsed. She was also blessed with six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 2pm, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Randy Barton. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Martha Nell Corn to Dunn’s Rock Baptist Church, 316 Connestee Road, Brevard NC, 28712.
