Obituary for Martha McKinney Galloway
Martha McKinney Galloway, a lifelong resident of Lake Toxaway, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 1st, 2020 at the age of 77. Martha will be greatly missed by all who knew her but especially by her three children, Lisa Galloway of Lake Toxaway and her significant other Steve Stone of Liberty SC, Bucky Galloway and wife, Karen of Mills River and Andrea Rackley and husband, Jonathan of Lake Toxaway. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Berkshire of Easley, SC.
Martha will be remembered for her contagious laugh, witty humor, and her undying love for her family. You didn't have to know her long until you also learned that the greatest joy in her life came from her grandchildren. They truly were the reason for her every breath. Those lucky enough to be able to call her Nana include Kennedy Troyer and husband, Tyler of Boone, Graham Galloway of Apex and Corey, Braden and Gunner Rackley of Lake Toxaway.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Elvin "Shorty" Galloway, her parents Allen and Vergie McKinney, six sisters and three brothers.

The Rosman High School Football Program, 749 Pickens Hwy, Rosman, NC 28772. Please make contributions payable to: Rosman High Football. Although she hated the cooler weather, Martha always looked forward to Fall when she could watch her grandsons play for the Orange and Black!
Abiding with her wishes, a private graveside service will be scheduled for a later date.
