Obituary for Mary Louise Tucker (Tinsley)

Mary Lou Tucker passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Mary Lou was born to Eugene & Rosetta Arrowood Tinsley on March 27, 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland “Bud” Tucker, and her parents, Eugene & Rosetta Tinsley. She is survived by her daughter, Marche Tucker of Hendersonville and son, Douglas Tucker of Brevard, and her beloved granddaughter, Krista Tucker of Brevard whom she adored.
She is also survived by her siblings, Nadine Galloway (Raymond), Frank Tinsley, Jerry Tinsley (Margaret) of Brevard and Lille Mae Hanson (Joe) of Springfield, PA. As well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
Mary Lou displayed a giving heart to all who were blessed to know her. She was selfless and hospitable. She enjoyed baking for others and shared her passions with baking, decorating, collecting, thrift store shopping, and cooking with all who encountered her. “If Mary Lou was one of her many delicious recipes, she would be Angel Food Mix” (Quoted by Kay Anderson)
Her smile was infectious and genuine, her love was expressed through doing for others and her words for others were always kind. Mary Lou was a role model and “second mom” to many young people. She loved her family and mentored many children throughout her entire life.
Mary Lou was a hard worker and excelled in the insurance industry for more than 35 years. She will be missed by many and her kindness and generosity will be felt for generations. Mary Lou loved Hallmark and Christmas time. Her home was full of light and glitter at Christmas and she welcomed all in.
