Obituary for Mildred Louise Cison (Patterson)
Our beloved Mildred (Mickey) Cison passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 19, 2022, after a brief stay at the Elizabeth House. She was born in Brevard, NC on November 2, 1943.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Bert & Bertha Patterson, her husband Melvin Cison, her son Doug Cison, her sister Molly Patterson, and her brother Bert (Zab) Patterson.
She is survived by her children, Marty Cison (wife Misty), Michael Cison, Lesia Weaver, Randy Cison (wife Tonia) & Chad Cison (wife Ashley); her grandchildren Kayla Cison, Cody Weaver, Ciara Weaver, Adrienne Cison, Casey Whitmire (husband Josh), Tristin Cison, Analee Cison, Trevor Cison, Chris McCathern (wife Heather)and Elisa Riddle; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Earl Patterson (wife Lorena) and Jimmy Patterson; and sisters Linda Black and Helen Banks (husband Jerry).
Mildred faithfully and lovingly devoted her life to her family.
With each ride through these beautiful mountains and every cone of butter pecan, until we see each other again, with grateful hearts, we thank you for the unconditional love and devotion you gave us all. Fly high our heavenly angel!
A funeral to celebrate her life will be held on Monday July 25th, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church on McLean Rd., Brevard, NC. Visitation for friends and family will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, also at Grace Baptist, prior to the service.
