Patricia Ann Hunter Fisher age 68, a loving and devoted Wife, Mama, and Mammaw went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday Morning January 21, 2020 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Pat was a native of Oconee County SC, but had resided most of her life in the Rosman area of Transylvania County.
She was the daughter of the late Robert Edgar and Bessie Carnes Hunter. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by only 27 days by her loving husband Allen Kay Fisher who went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 25, 2019, her grandson, Shawn Anthony Fisher, Granddaughter, McKenna Nicole Fisher, Brother Doyce Hunter and Sisters Millie Rholetter and Vera Craig.
Pat attended Transylvania County Schools and was a faithful and devoted employee of TVS in Brevard for over 21 years. She was a wonderful cook, making the best Chicken and Dumplings around. She enjoyed going to flea markets, taking long rides to South Carolina and Georgia where she would stop and visit her brothers and sisters, she was an avid reader and she loved southern gospel music and most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pat devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. You would find Pat and Allen in the stands watching the grandsons play baseball, football and riding in rodeo or watching the granddaughters cheer leading and competing in pageants. Pat and Allen made every attempt to go out and support their grandchildren even when many times they were not physically able to be there.
Pat had long beautiful hair and knew that due to the chemotherapy that she was probably doing to lose it, so Pat decided to turn her sadness of losing her hair into a happy and joyous occasion. On January 15, 2020 Pat cut over 15 inches of her long, beautiful hair and it will soon be on its way to Wigs for Kids. Pat was so excited and proud that her hair would be used to make a wig for a sick child. This is just a small example of Pat’s loving heart.
Survivors include, sons Chad C. Fisher (Sonja) of Rosman, Chasta F. Fisher of Rosman and Shane W. Fisher (Jessica) of Seneca, SC.; daughter Cora Nichole Fisher of the home; step sons, Shawn A. Fisher (Tracy) of Blantyre and Rodney H. Fisher (Cathy) of Lake Toxaway. Pat was the beloved sister of Lloyd Hunter of Clayton, GA, Helene Dickson of Vance, SC, Betty Burton of Weist, SC, Jerry Freeman of West Columbia SC, and Robert (Bob) Hunter (Sue) of Salem, SC. A special thanks to Shawn and Tracy, who loving and graciously opened their home to Pat last week, allowing her a quiet place to recuperate, which allowed her to be close to her doctors in Asheville and home care.
