Obituary for Paul Harvey Brittain
Brevard - Paul Harvey Brittain, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
Paul was born on May 7, 1944 in Transylvania County NC, to the late William Leo Brittain and Sleetie Masters Brittain. He is also preceded in death by wife Fannie Jane McCall Brittain, Brothers William “Bill” Brittain, Wilburn Brittain, Elbert “Willis” Brittain, and sister Ann Owen.
In his early career he worked for a logging company then worked many years for the Transylvania county D.O.T. He loved spending time outdoors, working in the garden, watching the wildlife, or sitting and whittling.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Brittain and wife Amanda of Hendersonville, Stepson, Tony Murr and wife Joy of Brevard, stepdaughter, Stephanie Updike and husband Shannon of Hurt VA, brother-in-law, and very dear friend, Howard Owen of Etowah, and his two beloved cats.
A private service will be held by close family and friends. In lieu of flowers he would want everyone to go outside and enjoy nature in all its beauty and serenity.
