Obituary for Rachel Noel Littleton (Littleton)

Rachel Noel Littleton gained her wings on Friday April 28, 2023 surrounded by her family. Rachel gets to be Rachel again, healed and pain free in her heavenly home. She was born July 6, 1985 at Transylvania Community Hospital to Tim Littleton and Tracey Phillips Littleton. Rachel immediately became “Sunshine” in her Daddy’s eyes.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Carroll and Mary Lee Phillips, Aunt Penny Phillips, Uncle Dylon Buchanan and paternal grandparents Jerry Littleton and Peggy Hooper.
As a child, Rachel loved going fishing and to football games with Penny and Nathaniel. She loved going to rodeos with anyone that would go with her. Rachel loved Alabama football, Pandora jewelry, I love Lucy, collecting movies, The Golden Girls, and watching Dale Earnhart Jr race. She loved her family the most. In the past year her favorite thing was watching Morgan play basketball and softball. She never missed a game.
She loved to sing and dance. She was part of a Mid Summer Nights Dream while in high school. She volunteered for the Red Cross and brought Pet CPR to Transylvania County as her senior project. Rachel graduated from Brevard High School in 2003. She attended Western Carolina University and graduated from Gardner Webb University with her nursing degree in 2008. Rachel loved being a nurse. She loved caring for others. She worked at Pardee Hospital for many years and cherished the friendships she made during that time. She was honored to be cared for by many of those friends in her time of need.
Rachel’s nieces Morgan and Kate were the lights of her life. She would spend hours playing school with Morgan and watching Beethoven with Kate.
Survivors include her parents Tim and Tracey Littleton, brother and sister in law Nathaniel and Krystin Littleton, nieces Morgan and Kate Littleton. Ricky (Nancy) Phillips, Trevor (Trish) Phillips, Emily (Jackson) Johnson, J Max Littleton, Alan (Linda) Littleton, Kevin (Melissa) Littleton.
Rachel’s laugh was infectious. Her smile could brighten anyone’s day. Her light will forever shine within the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.
Memorial services will be held 6pm, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Pope officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
