Obituary for Robert Artillous Owen
Robert A. Owen, age 80, of Brevard, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019.
Mr. Owen was born on April 25, 1939 in Rabun Co., GA to the late Spurgeon and Etta Derotha Anders Owen. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother and one granddaughter.
Survivors include four sons, John-Elbert Owen and wife Cathy of Brevard, Marshall Owen and wife Rhonda of Brevard, Terry Owen and wife Jennifer of Brevard and Tony Owen of Sapphire; one daughter, Lynne Morgan and husband Gary of Brevard; five brothers, Homer Owen and wife Jean of Franklin, Leman Owen and wife Teresa of Lake Toxaway, Hoyt Owen, Lawrence Owen and Willie Owen all of Lake Toxaway; two sisters, Pauline Jones and husband Stanley of Lake Toxaway and Christine McCall of Brevard; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; former wife, Millie Owen Stephens of Brevard.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rondall Owen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery.
