Obituary for Robert Nelson Parsell Jr.
Brevard - Bob Parsell passed away December 29, 2021 at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Inez Goff Parsell, daughter Diana, son Greg, stepson, Thad Brummett, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob was an Army veteran and began his business career with Aeroneutronic Ford and Magic Chef. He then founded and was President and CEO of Sanford Ace Hardware, a four-store chain in Seminole County, FL, until his retirement.
He was an extremely active participant in his community in Central Florida and was President, Chairman, or Member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, Main Street program, Community Redevelopment Agency, Central Florida Ace Dealers, Central Florida Blood Bank, Airport Memorial Committee, Central Florida Zoo, and the Good Samaritan Home among others. In Brevard, he was active with The Cindy Platt Boys and Girls Club, Sharing House, and the Brevard Music Center.
